MINISTRY OF TOURISM × UN TOURISM

UN Tourism 26th General Assembly

THE PROJECT

One identity. Many real-world demands.

With tourism leaders gathering in Riyadh, the host identity needed consistent Arabic and English expression across a growing set of event materials.

MY ROLE

Turning an existing mark into a working system.

I led the team developing the visual guideline and initial collaterals, reviewing and refining the first applications before the wider rollout. I also came up with the idea for the event promo and designed it.

THE SYSTEM

A flexible system built from culture.

Sadu Red and Heritage Gold anchored the palette. A structured grid and distinctive pattern made the work recognizable, while contemporary type kept information clear.

The guideline brought those choices together as practical rules, giving each format room to adapt within one visual language.

IN APPLICATION

From screen to space.

The work moved from screens to the venue. Digital communication, signage, hospitality materials, and on-site spaces each brought the identity into a different part of the event.

THE PROMO

The identity in motion.

I designed graphic shapes from the existing identity and used them throughout the promo. Their movement ties the scenes together and gives the video a look that belongs to the event.

REFLECTION

Seeing the whole event.

Working on an event this large pushed me to think beyond individual designs. A choice made for one piece could affect how the rest of the event felt.

I learned to look at the whole experience before getting into the details. It made me more aware of how small decisions add up when many teams and touchpoints are involved.
